It's the biggest house in the United States. It's more like a castle really. Four acres of floor space. For a family of three. Built in the late 1800s, it was fully electric, had an indoor swimming pool with underwater lights, refrigerators, 40 something indoor bathrooms, and a full gym. Ri. Dic. U. Lous. It took us hours just to walk through it!
I know you're bored hearing me talk about it, so I'll stop. But man, this house was amazing. The land was amazing, it was just a freaking ridiculous.
This was just perched on the edge of the reservoir. It made me squeak.
And I got to go horseback riding. All over the estate. Gah, it was awesome. That's me and my MIL.
And now I have no more energy to type. Peace.

Ooh, that's exactly where I'm going in just over a month and I can't wait! Actually, your pictures have made me even more excited to go, and I already thought I was at the height of excitement to begin with. Looks like you had a blast!
Wow, that place looks amazing!! Your pictures are great too. Those flowers, waterfalls, horseback riding... it looks like you had a great time! I'd love to hear even more about that huge old historic place, it looks so cool, but I'm nerdy like that. :-)
Great photos! Looks like a fun vacation. Hope you are doing okay my friend.
How awesome! And I live just over the mountain in Tennessee and have NEVER been there! We ARE planning an Asheville trip in the fall. I'm so glad you had so much fun!
