I guess you've figured out that "What I like Wednesdays" is actually more like a glimpse into my life. I do this because when I was first debating whether or not to start a craft blog, it was suggested that I transfer my crafts to a new blog along with bits and pieces of my personal life. So, hopefully you don't mind learning a little more about me every Wednesday. :)
Last week, the hubs was on a business trip in Virginia, leaving me home alone. Well, not fully alone, because we live in my in-laws basement. So there's always someone to keep me company! :) I spent a few mornings with my mom to give me something to do before I had to work.
My mom has an even better bead collection than I do, so we busted right into it to create a special necklace set to wear with a Sunday outfit that's "Very purple-y!" (name that movie.)
Using my very advanced jewelry-making skills (not) we beaded, twisted, and linked together a great set!
A long and very purple three tiered necklace.
And the whole set together (don't mind my vacant expression, I'm pretty sure I was watching Spongebob that was on in the next room.) I love the way it turned out, we were able to combine "stringy" jewelry with metal based jewelry and it really pulled together.
After the jewelry we decided to bust out my new Sihouette! I installed the software, read the instructions, plugged it in, all while squealing with delight!
I loaded the paper...
And got this. FAIL! Apparently I loaded the paper wrong. It was such a disappointment!
Luckily it turned out perfectly the second time. :) I love it so far, even if it does sound like a spaceship while it's working. (The website wasn't lying when it said that it's not "whisper quiet!") I can't wait to use it again, I really want to order some vinyl but I have to wait until I earn a little bit more money. Anyone wanna buy me some while I wait? :)
Why is Jellybean soooo adorable??
Why is Cleo so adorable?? I can't handle all this cat cuteness!
And finally, while David was gone, his sister and I thought it would be fun to watch a movie together. We changed into our jammies and she came downstairs and we discovered...
This. Matching jammies!
So we popped some of this.
Grabbed some of these.
And watched this. If you haven't seen it, you should. It's everything you could possibly want in a chick flick.
