Thanks, boots, and pumpkins

Thank you SO MUCH to everyone who commented on my {hot shot bloggers} post. I was a little hesitant to post it, I didn't want to come off as whiny and bitter. But you ladies were so kind and extremely encouraging, I truly do appreciate each and every one of those comments! I had no idea there were so many out there that had similar experiences (my heart goes out to you!), or that so many of you felt so strongly against these hot hots just like me. It's like a sisterhood, we should all buy matching pants and write letters to each other.

Really though. Thank you. :) You are amazing, all of you!

Next item of business. I need boots.

I really, really, really need boots. Brown, everyday boots for the winter. I have a nice black, heeled pair that I wear to church and dress up with, but I don't have nice everyday boots. I usually wear those hideous Ugg boots, because they are comfy, easy to put on, and warm.

But I want CUTE boots. Just like those ones. But here's the thing: I don't really like buying shoes online. I have very tiny feet, really narrow feet, and extremely high arches. I really need to put on shoes before I buy them, to make sure everything fits. Otherwise those boots would be mine already.

So here is my question: what are some shoe stores (that I can physically go to) that sells adorable, affordable boots? (like $50 and under) Help a sista out? I promise to model them!!

Last item: Today I'm over at Bugaboo, Mini, Mr, and Me guest posting. You should totally check me out {here} and see all the other awesome pumpkin projects during her Pumpkinspiration party all week!!

Really, there is a lot of cool pumpkin stuff. Go there. Now. Wait!!! Help me out with my boot problem and THEN head over there.

LOVING those boots, too! Wish I could help you, but as much as I love shoes, I'm notoriously cheap about spending on them. So I have no boot advice for you. =( Hope you find something you like!

TARGET! I adore their boots! I got me a pair of blackish-brown "ridding boot" style last year and I love love love them. I can't do heeled boots, so I adore anything flat. And Target has some really cute styles this year! =)

I got these http://www.payless.com/store/product/detail.jsp?catId=cat10088&subCatId=cat10045&skuId=090282065&productId=70652&lotId=090282&category=&catdisplayName=Womens last year at Payless, but they were cheaper then. (They're both casual enough for jeans and dressy enough with tights for church--perfect!) Payless is best during their buy one, get one half off sales, plus they are getting some really famous designer brands (though they are NOT my style at all.)

My problem w/ Target is that I have the most common shoe size, so there's never any in stock in my size. With Payless, you can order online, pick-up at the their store with no delivery fee, and if you don't want them, there is NO CHARGE--at all! They simply add them to their stock....

I had a ton of success last year finding cute and comfy boots at Famous Footwear. I actually went in for a brown pair but went home with with both brown and black pairs. They usually seem to have some kind of sale/deal. In fact, I just went to their website and saw a big header that all boots are on sale. Happy shopping!

OK, kind of a strange coincidence, but check this post out...lacy boot socks! I'm dying to make some of these, even if I have to use heat and bond or my glue gun!

You might also try zappos.com. I know it's not an in-person store, but shipping is free both ways and their return policy is very customer friendly. Plus, holy massive selection, Batman!

Famous Footwear normally has a decent selection. Plus you can always wait for their buy one get one half off deals if you need another pair of shoes.
Also Gordmans might have something. The one in my area has a big selection and some cost as little as $20. If you sign up for their emails you regularly get coupons too.
