I'm attempting to utilize my social networking tools a bit more! Thanks to some bloggy friends, I figured out my facebook page a little more and I'm starting to use it a little bit more (have you noticed?)
However...I'm totally stumped with Twitter. I've used it a few times for extra giveaway entries, but that's about it. I don't understand how to "tweet" other people, how to "retweet," or even tweeting etiquette. How do you build relationships trough Twitter? Is it weird to tweet someone you don't know? How do you gain exposure? I just don't get it!
So what are your thoughts? Do you tweet?

I have my twitter account connected to my facebook account. This way when I tweet, it is also added as a status update on facebook so I have to do less work!
When I started my twitter account, I searched for other people with similar interests (search in the search box for craft, sewing etc) I then added these people as friends and some would add me back. When I started tweeting more, other people found me through the search box and it slowly builds up.
I generally do not tweet directly to people, but rather tweet about what I am doing, or asking a question, or sharing something I found online (like tutorial etc). I also often tweet about new items in my shop and include a @etsy which makes me show up on etsy twitter page.
To retweet, find a tweet someone wrote and below it should be a little icon that when you click it you retweet it to your twitter feed.
I love twitter in fact I use it more than FB I just tweet quotes since that's why I started it. Mostly holiday or season quotes. I do tweet a few directly mostly family or blogger friends. I'm now following you on twitter.
