What I like Wednesday- Birthdays

Seriously, I think birthdays should be every month, not every year!

Who's with me for starting a monthly birthday?

No?

...ok, I tried.

I had an amazing birthday! I won't bore you with the details of what I got...let's just say I no longer wonder why people mistake me for 10 years younger than I really am.

Here's one.

Here's another. (Yes, that's a DSi with a Pokemon case. I'm cool, you know it!)

Now, is Medieval Times considered to me "childish?" I bet if you went, you wouldn't think so. It has got to the THE coolest restaurant in the entire world. I'm talking as cool as Disneyland cool. Yeah, that cool. So, what is Medieval Times?

It's dinner and a show, olden style. You eat your food with your hands, you watch jousting on real horses, you listen to a King's speech, you witness knigtings, you have the time of your freaking life. There are only nine locations in the entire world, and we are lucky enough to live only 30 minutes from one. I begged and begged and begged David to take me, and when I found out I could get a free birthday pass, he finally let me. :)

The place is inside of a huge mall, but even the outside of the place was decorated! We came and hour and half before the show started and spent the entire time admiring the suits of armor, looking at souvenirs, watching knightings, and got giant mugs of slushies. I swear it was like Disneyland, there was so much to see and do!

The food turned out to be excellent. I had been warned that it wasn't the best food in the world, but I was very happy with it. We ate everything off of legit pewter bowls and plates and had no silverware. Yes, that included soup, half a freaking chicken, ribs, and potatoes, all with our hands. It was such great fun! Oh yeah... I DID get a plastic fork for my birthday cake. :)

The show itself was incredible too! I was enthralled with it in all honesty. There was a good story line, corny acting, REAL LIVE HORSES, jousting, sword fights, games, horse shows, and so much more. There was not one single dull moment the entire show, and it was a long show! We cheered for the yellow knight, and although he didn't win, it was still so much fun!

The next morning I drove to my parents house to spend the day with them before a fancy gala that my Dad invited me to. Beforehand, my Dad and I made cheese! It was surprisingly easy, and it didn't take much time at all. I learned that you barely get a handful of cheese from an entire gallon of milk, no wonder the stuff is so expensive! I think I'm going to try this again and post a tutorial on it, I think everyone should make cheese at least once in their lives!

And to wrap up my weekend, I attended a fancy awards ceremony honoring my aunt at the University of Maryland. I bought a fancy designer dress (for over 75% off, win!), did my hair all nice, and even got valet parking! We spent the evening surrounded my famous athletes and politicians, and listened to acceptance speeches. Oh, and I got to see my cat. That's always a plus! :)

All in all it was a perfect birthday weekend. Thank you to everyone that took a minute to wish me a happy birthday, I really appreciate it. :)
