Hi Everyone.....I am Nicole from Thrifty Decorating. I actually started a blog by accident....I saw the word "free" and was hooked from there!
Honestly, I've always been a thrifty person. My hubby is a youth pastor (whose book was just recently featured in World magazine!) and I am a stay-at-home-homeschoolin' mom, so we've always lived on a tight budget.
I was never much of a decorator because it was just too expensive, but last fall, a friend introduced me to the world of decorating blogs!!!! I got hooked when I realized that I could make my house beautiful and not spend a lot of money....
Here are some of my projects that require very little money (or time!).....
My Under $75 kitchen remodel with beadboard wallpaper....
And here's my $20 Board and Batten Bathroom redo...
(....and I made the curtains and shower curtains out of a thrifted Goodwill sheet...
the tutorial for that is HERE.....)
I like to decorate with Old Windows that I often haul out of the trash....
......and another way we save money is that instead of eating out....we "eat out in!" Here's a thrifty idea for a Chili's knock-off meal...
On my blog I also share my experiences from homeschooling and how I am being stretched in my relationship with Jesus.....
I'd love for you to come visit.....I also love to feature other bloggers! So please stop by and say "hello!"
Amie....thanks so much for letting me visit this Saturday! Your blog is adorable....although your red Picassa eye edits were a little freaky! (But I loved the post because I never knew you could do that in Picassa!)

Haha, maybe those red eyes weren't edited! (Yes, I got the idea from Twilight. Sue me.) Isn't she fantastic? Thanks for being here Nicole!

Thanks so much for the beautiful feature! :) I'm laughing because someone left an anonymous comment about your love of mushrooms! LOL
How FUN is that to get those adorable curtains and shower curtain from a Goodwill sheet?! Really, people just don't know what they're passing up over in Goodwill land -- great job Nicole!!
