Hi, I’m Juli! I'm the blogger and small business owner behind Sweet Little Chickadee. I’m also a freelance illustrator, designer, and photographer. I like to stay busy! I started out working towards a science degree, but a few years into school completely switched to become an Illustration major who also focused on a little Creative Writing and Photography along the way. It's a little crazy sometimes, but I love what I do! When I'm not spending time with my husband and our pets (a super snuggly mini dachshund and a particularly ornery blue parakeet) you can usually find me doing something creative. I've always loved to read and was a huge book nerd as a kid. I get a lot of inspiration for my work from reading books or looking through some of the old original fairytale illustrations. If you're as interested in fairytales as as I am, a good book to check out is The Annotated Hans Christian Andersen by Maria Tater {find it here}. I love the extra little margin notes and it has gorgeous illustrations too!
